this is looking like a nice but hard work. The Oak is looking wonderful. Since in Germanys 60ties &amp; 70ties Oak was used in a dark and so called &quot;Country&quot;-Stile it is not the most used wood in the new woodworker scene. Walnut and Cherry are the preferred kinds of wood.
But I love the light look of fresh oak and it will be the preferred wood when I start to built my own table in a couple of years. (After finishing the living room in my house from 1880).
