Unless you subscribe to some kind of Reader, you might have missed the announcement by Dan Mosheim on his blog, Dorset Custom Furniture.
A total of 29 furniture makers in Vermont have launched a web site, and a blog. Both are called The Guild of Vermont Furniture Makers, but with a difference: The web site features a complete list of the members, their locations, and samples of the work by each member. On the other hand, the blog will be a joint effort; entries will be written by each member – as it turns out, each member could write only one entry each month, while the rest of the members could also contribute one entry each per month. In other words, we could be reading one blog entry per day – cool!
If you would like to stay in touch with the happenings on their blog, make sure to subscribe to their Posts and/or Comments using the RSS links on the Sidebar. An RSS button is coming soon for their web site.
I look forward to developments by this new group, their collective and individual viewpoints, and their furniture. And I congratulate this effort by such a large group of gifted furniture makers, and wish them success!
