First, from the base of the old elm tree at the far right:
And into the skillet – the first morel mushrooms of this Spring (yummy!):
These were a wonderful delicacy, and a perfect complement to a nice evening meal.
The blossoms covering this little ornamental Japanese plum tree at the main entrance to the house are spectacular – I don’t dare trim it, until it is finished blooming – we keep dodging low limbs:
Although the entrance way is much too dark, the beauty of this little tree is remarkable.
The hunt for morels will continue, as the weather is perfect – rainy, cloudy, wet. It is a classic NW Missouri Spring. And I love it! Although Fall is my favorite season, Spring is very special, as every day brings a new discovery.
