I had the opportunity on Saturday, June 13 (yesterday) to attend the Open House at the Kansas City Woodworkers’ Guild, held with the Kansas City Woodturners’ Club. It was a terrific event, with huge turnout, wonderful displays of items crafted by its members, and camaraderie among fellow woodworkers and the public in attendance.
While at the Open House I had the opportunity to take some photographs. As a visitor, the first thing you notice is the huge expanse of room the Guild and the Club share: 7,000 square feet of shop, with equipment provided by both groups for use by their members.
I thank John Johnson, President of the Guild, and Cliff Bell, Membership Chairman, for their hospitality during my visit. I wish the Guild another wonderful 25 years!
