Features: All the same features as its counterpart, the Leigh FMT frame mortise & tenon jig.
Price: To be announced with product launch.
Imagine doing mortise & tenon joinery with a low-cost alternative to the FMT, but still having the same features! I will have more information as it becomes available.

I’m glad to see a mention of the super fmt because I saw it on the back cover of the Highland Woodworking catalog this month. I was not sure if it was some kind of knock off or it was really from Leigh. I went to Leigh’s website and there was no mention of it anywhere. I could not find it anywhere on the web including Highlands website store. Any advise you have on the subject of buying the super jig over the regular FMT jig would be a great help. To me it looks like the clamping is not as good on the super jig which I think looks essential to its purpose. Thanks for your time and expertise…(By the way the price listed in the catalog is $399.99.)

Hubert,
It was the Highland WW’g catalog where I saw it first, too. The Super FMT should appear on the Leigh web site very soon, I am told. As for the clamps: I am planning a side-by-side comparison, if I manage to get one into the shop. You are invited to attend – I will let everyone know. Regarding buying over the other: I cannot advice you either way, but I expect the Super FMT to work as advertised, and to have all the same features. The side-by-side will confirm this with the hands-on experience.
