I got up this morning at day break, to get the coffee started and to let out Deeogee the d-o-g. Never did I suspect what happened overnight, despite the warnings on the Weather Channel. Just as daylight broke, this was the view outside the sliding doors in the kitchen, on the deck (click on the images to super-size them):
And, about 50 feet to the South of the previous image, our grill is buried somewhere under this blanket of snow:
I wimped out and took these photos from the nice, warm side of the windows.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those less fortunate, and for those traveling what I know are treacherous roads this morning. Just for the record, Deeogee made it back in safely. But I suspect he still has some unfinished business…

We only got about 1 1/2″ down here in Olathe, but it is the bitter cold that kept our dog inside.
Wow! We have even had some snow here in Alabama. Good luck getting around today.
