Hey Al, thanks for spending the time together. After seeing your piece, I am so tempted to drive back down there and buy some myself. Did you leave the 12inch piece?

It was great to have you drop in! The 12-inch piece is still there, the last time I looked – but I bet the cost will go up with the round-trip gas mileage.
Heh, heh. I calculate that if I buy a LOT of wood, the price per board foot would be moderate.
I *must* start using that kind of reasoning, too. Love it!
So is any of it available. I have a pen or two I still need to do for xmas!

absolutely! I have this artist pencil I’ve been wanting to do and that would be great. I doodle alot. I get these hair brain ideas and I’ve found if I draw them out I usually save time and sometimes money. Ha! I enjoy drawing.

You are right, Eric. You must experience the chatoyance in person – amazing! And the rays shimmer in the light, after simply applying Mineral Spirits to the flat surface.
Wow, that has incredible depth. The beauty of wood never ceases to amaze me.

This is some of the most unusual wood I have seen in a long time. The interesting part: Just about the entire tree showed this! Beauty, indeed.
