Moxon at Benchcrafted

In October 2010 I made a Moxon twin-screw vise for use in the shop. My friend Jameel Abraham, of Benchcrafted fame, mentioned several times a Moxon twin-screw vise might be available in the future as part of his company’s product lineup. I caught one frame from a video posted at his web site. Is this a hint, or a tease?

The Benchcrafted version of the Moxon twin-screw vise

One thing I know: the now-classic Benchcrafted vise handle has extremely smooth action. I have seen it and used it in person, at more than one Woodworking in America conference. What is at the other end of this modern version of the Moxon twin-screw vise? It will be hard to wait until Jameel releases further details.

Right now you can view a very short video, and get an idea of the super-smooth action of this end of the vise, at Jameel’s latest blog entry.
