Following the devastating tornado three months ago, the school Superintendent in Joplin, Missouri reported that the High School opens on time. The location: A renovated shopping mall area, full of high-tech gadgets, including laptops, free to the students. From Fox4KC.com, the following video shows how the school was transformed into a School of the Future – and it was all done in less than 60 days:

Just yesterday, I was in the barbershop getting a haircut and there was a Joplin senior getting a haircut and telling about the new facility. He was pretty excited about it.
It’s just one anecdote, but to be able to get anyone at all excited about going back to school after this summer in Joplin is a truly impressive feat.

Thanks for sharing this! It IS an amazing feat, and everyone involved must know it – nobody more than the students.
