Sandy tries her hand at free-motion quilting using the embroidery machine mounted on the new 2-axis, 3-foot quilting table:
This was a great success, in preparation for several full-size quilts she has been getting ready for the 10-foot quilting table with the long-arm quilting machine.
I am surprised how much quilting is like woodworking. Sandy fits miters in a way very much like we do in the shop. Her rip cuts are nearly identical; and the joinery is… well, stitched! Just like joinery in our woodworking projects, if a miter is not perfect, it will show in each block she sews together prior to quilting.
