The “glue” is actually a high-temperature silicone, suitable for the heat that the tiles could experience in service. It took months to cure, and it is messy!

I actually may do it the same way in the future, as a regular glue may not hold up properly.

That is a pretty tray, Al..! But, I’d guess that it’s heavy. Heavy is not good when it comes to trays. Not that I’ve made any! LOL! How thick is that bottom for it to accommodate the inlaid tiles..? Checking out the link now! Edited: Ok, so the tiles were not inlaid, just glued [...]
