How to subscribe to the latest on the blog

A few readers have written, asking how to subscribe to the blog, to stay informed of the latest (free!) news from Sandal Woods. There are two routes:

Suscribing to the free blog news:

1. Click on one of two icons on the top-right of the browser window, if you wish to subscribe to the Feedburner Feed:

 Doing this will take you to a new browser window, with options you can select. For myself, for example, I selected the Feedburner feed option – this is one I receive via e-mail, to make sure I see exactly what all my readers will see:

Yet another option: type on your e-mail address just to the right of the picture slider window on the home page – it will also allow you to subscribe via the Feedburner feed:

Unsubscribing:

In case you wish to unsubscribe, and not get any more e-mails about the doings on the blog, you can do so easily. Simply click on the “Unsubscribe now” option within each e-mail message, and you will no longer get the free updates:

There you have it. I have made it easy for my readers to subscribe to the latest news on the blog. I also give you an option to not receive any more news from the blog.

As I announced earlier, I have been making changes to the web site. Just today I added a Featured Video section on the main page; this will allow me to share the latest videos and news with you, as soon as you arrive at the web site. A featured video will appear in the same space as you see today.

I continue to fine tune the web site – I don’t think it is ever really “done”, as there is always room for improvement. The latest changes are my effort to make your visit more pleasurable and meaningful.

Please let me know if you like the new look-and-feel. I am always striving to make the web site a more professional site; but I am not a computer guy, and I know my limitations on stuff like the software that drives this blog. Nevertheless, I try my best. But it takes a lot of trial and error.

As a result, I will depend on you to let me know if you discover any glitches I might have missed. If you do find a problem, or something does not work just like you expect it to work, please send me an e-mail message to sandal_woods@bbwi.net.

Now into the third year writing this blog

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to do it, friends.

It has been fun, and your encouragement, comments, suggestions, everything you have done along the way has helped me stay focused. And when I have started to lose that focus, you brought me back with your e-mail messages asking how things were, and suggesting I continue writing and sharing.

For all your help, I thank you!

In this third year I will continue writing, and publishing photos and videos. In fact, I currently have several more videos from additional sessions at Woodworking in America at Valley Forge, waiting to be edited.

I hope to soon be able to write about my own woodworking in the shop. The left shoulder seems to be coming along, and for that I am thankful. I appreciate your concern, writing to ask about it. I can hardly wait to get going full steam once again, as I have a bunch of “stuff” to do! My long list has grown longer still, and there is no want for things to create, and to be built.
